What I offer:
- Individual Counselling
I work in an integrative way, which means that I draw upon a range of counselling approaches. I am a great believer that one size does not fit all and that different approaches suit different people at different times. It may be, for example, that CBT is helpful to identify thoughts and beliefs or it may be that grounding techniques are helpful to help manage anxiety. Above all my aim is to provide a safe and comfortable setting where I will help you explore whatever the issues are that have brought you into counselling.
I have been working as a counsellor for over 15 years and have been in private practice for over 10 years. During that time I have enjoyed working in a variety of settings including a number of local voluntary organisations, some of which were dedicated to helping people with drug and alcohol issues. In addition I spent 5 years working in the NHS in a GP setting. I enjoy meeting and working with people from diverse backgrounds with a range of issues.
